- NICE ‘N’ SANDY: We hand-mix a blend of washed sand, expanded clay grit and perlite to create an airy, free-draining base. This is boosted with coco coir and raw biochar which helps retain a little moisture without allowing roots to become waterlogged.
- BALANCED NOURISHMENT: We add worm castings and organic compost for a boost of nutrients, along with a pinch of volcanic rock dust, a natural source of slow-release minerals. Finely balanced moisture and nutrient retention boosts healthy root growth, encourages an active soil microbiome and discourages the dreaded root rot
- BOOST HEALTHY GROWTH: All orders over 2L come with a free sample of our home-grown insect-powered nutrient boost – a dried mixture of ground insect meal and calci-worm manure (AKA frass) which imparts slow and quick-release nutrients, improves soil texture and microbiome, and boosts your plants’ natural immune response through the presence of chitin.
