Description
Catchphrase, based on the popular TV show, is attractively designed, caters for ages eight years and above and can be played by two people or teams.
The game pack consists of four sets of cards and a timer. The packs are made up of groups of six double-sided cards. The face sides are numbered 160 and are complete catchphrase images. The reverse sides are part of a bigger image made up of the six cards. The reverse of the card is revealed on the playing board when a person or team guess the face catchphrase correctly.
The aim of the game is to guess the most catchphrases, thus gaining the highest score. Each time the reverse of a card is revealed, the players have to guess the catchphrase of the larger image within the allotted time (timer included). The earlier the correct answer is given, the most points are scored. One point is given for every correct guess of the complete face card catchphrases.
The difficulty of the catchphrase increases as the game progresses and more points are scored for the final six cards of the pack. It then becomes much more exciting.
The game will appeal to all age groups. The cards have amusing cartoon type designs and the game is easy to understand. The set is fairly compact and could easily be packed up for a holiday game if desired. So why not try your lateral thinking and give this one a try? –Ben King
