Description
The Sika Multiseal is a self-adhesive sealing strip made of aluminum foil reinforced by a polyester film. For outdoor use, it is waterproof, tear-resistant and cold-resistant, and can be painted. It is used in new and repair to treat cracks, joints and fittings. It allows to optimize its sealing, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to changes in temperature. Various applications; Ideal for flashing sealing, roofing connections, stumps of chimneys, skylights, gutters and canvases repair Excellent adhesion for outdoor applications on most substrates: concrete, cement mortar, stone, wood, glass, tile, fiber cement, zinc and aluminum, and most products of bituminous cover. Other applications = Terrace: sealing of flashing strips, acroteres, crack treatment and faulty joints. In roofing: sealing emergences and masonry fittings (protection on banks and ridge, played dormers, knots,…) repair of fiber cement plates, tiles, canvases, notches. On the front: additional sealing under siding, around water descents Preparation of the support፦ Remove from the supports all parts not or little sticking or protruding and any product that may adversely affect the adhesion of the tape – Dust very carefully – Dry if necessary – Degrease: closed supports (metals, glass) with acetone and Aluminiums lacquered with gasoline F – In cold weather at temperatures around +5°C. Warm up the supports and strip without deteriorating them with a hot air blower before sticking.
