Description
The Cagiva Elephant was introduced in the early 1980s as an Enduro motorcycle with small to medium displacement engines. After the acquisition of Ducati by Caviga, commercial production was gradually expanded by the more powerful high-performance two-cylinder engine from 1985. The Cagiva Elephant joined the prestigious “off-road” rally Paris Dakar in 1987 against both German and Japanese motorcycles. The bike is characterised by its distinctive large cladding, which covered the steel tube and the mesh frame made of light metal. The air-cooled two-cylinder engine provides 80 HP at 8500 rpm and allows the Italian to have a maximum off-road speed of 185 km/h. The bike design reflected a “typical” Sahara configuration with protective cover, Öhlins off-road shock absorbers and low front mudguards.
Not suitable for children under the age of 14.
