- 1. Selecting desired Measurement Modea. After turn on the instrument, press the “MODE” button to select desired measurement mode. The three measurement modes are as follows： Wood moisture measurement mode (display), building material moisture measurement mode (display) and temperature measurement mode. Wood moisture measurement mode has 8 calibration scales(A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H)
- 2. Performing Measurement： a. For temperature measurement, the display shows the present environment temperature directly. b. To perform moisture measurement, drive the probes into the wood or material to be measured, read the value on the display. Measurement Range: Wood: the scale A woods: 6%-60%Building Material: 0.2-2.9%Temperature: 0~ 40℃ or 32 ~ 104’F （Accuracy: Wood: +2%；Building Material: +0.1%；Temperature: +2℃ / +4F）
- 3ze the measurement： When display “-“or in Celsius temperature measurement mode ( “C “display) and Fahrenheit temperature measurement mode ( “F “displays), press the “HOLD” button can’ t freeze the measurement.
- 4. Backlight The screen will have backlight automatically after power on. The backlight will be off automatically in 15 seconds without operation. If there is a measurement fluctuation in wood/building moisture meter mode, the screen will display green backlight automatically. If you don’t operate the instrument (or the reading does not change) for about 3 minutes, the instrument will be turn off automatically.
- 5: 1. Keep the instrument dry. 2. Keep the probe clean. 3. Some factors (such as material type and temperature) can affect moisture measurement result and may make it necessary to correct the displayed value. Don’t use the instrument in the case of inspections or for reference purposes. 4. Keep the instrument and battery out of reach of infant and child. 5. When the symbol “O”appears, it indicates the battery is in low-power mode and should be replaced.
