ABOUT AQUARIUM TESTING Regular testing of your aquarium water will help you to identify invisible water problems which may be present and allow appropriate action to be taken to maintain a healthy environment for your fish life. YOU NEED KNOW —-7 IN 1 Nitrite: NO2 in concentrations greater than 1 mg/L and if present for extended periods, is harmful to your fish and could over time lead to the loss of your fish Nitrate: NO3 in concentrations greater than 50 mg/L is harmful to sensitive fish and additionally promotes algae growth will highly distress your fish and affect the growth of young fish Total Hardness: GH Favorable hardness values are not too high or too low PH: A pH value between 6.5 and 7.6 will be tolerated by most freshwater fish species Chlorine: Chlorine may be present in tap water. It is harmful to fish, damaging their gills and skin, and must not be introduced to the aquarium Carbonate: Ideal range of Carbonate is between 40-120 mg/L Total Alkalinity: 40-120 mg/l means OK INSTRUCTION FOR USE 1. Immerse the test strip test area in water for 2 seconds. 2. Take out the test paper and place it horizontally for 60 seconds. 3. Compare the test strip with the color chart on the bottle body and complete the reading within 30 seconds to obtain accurate results. MATTERS NEEDING ATTENTION 1. Don’t put wet fingers deep into the bottle. 2. Avoid touching or polluting the test area of the strip 3. Close cap tightly after removing strips 4. Store in a cool dry place 5. Do not put the test strips directly into the fish tank for testing
