For Star Wars Episode 1 – the dark threat, Hasbro had the figures equipped with state-of-the-art CommTech chips. The chips were able to play original phrases from the film, which was a small technical sensation for those circumstances. Regardless of this function, the figures convinced by the usual good authentic look.
