Ascend Tools 8 inch Carbon Steel Shears, Kevlar, Dyneema, Vectran, Spectra, Technora, Nomex, Innegra, Dacron, Fiberglass: These shears have been tested for thousands of cuts on Kevlar 49 fabric and Vectran / Dyneema ropes on 1/8” (3 mm) and 5/8” (16mm). The quality of cut at end of life was still quite good. Ergonomically designed handles made of TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) for a non-slip and comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue and strain during repetitive use. The handles are ambidextrous.
