You can set your favourite light scenes and rooms via the Philips Hue app. After that, the control is done via the Smart Switch and no smartphone is needed anymore. The light switch can then be used like a remote control.
Thanks to Energy Harvesting Technology, the Philips Hue Switch generates its own power – no electrical installation or batteries required. The switch connects directly to the Philips Hue Bridge. No additional smart home hub is needed.
Scope of delivery 
The Friends of Hue switch comes with an instruction manual and adhesive dots that make it easy to attach the switch to walls and doors. 
Requirements 
The Philips Hue smart dimmer requires a Philips Hue Bridge v2 and an Android or iOS device to set up the switch in the Philips Hue app.
