The Aalto vase was designed in 1936 and first presented at the Paris World Exhibition in the following year. Its flowing organic form is still mouth-blown at the Iittala factory today. A team of seven highly experienced skilled workers is required to make a single Aalto’ vase – an icon of modern design.
