A pleasantly fragrant syrup is obtained from the leaves of Mediterranean olive trees, a by-product of olive cultivation. This serves as a sole tanning agent for the robust cowhide from the Porto series. The patented extraction of wet-green® OBE tannin is particularly gentle on humans, animals and the environment thanks to renewable raw materials. The tannin has the Dermatest seal as very good, the Cradle to Cradle certificate in gold and the Material Health Certificate in platinum. This means that the so-called olive leather® embodies the luxury of an ecologically sustainable lifestyle. The simple design of the adjustable lead highlights the unique character of the leather. Thanks to the double-stitched workmanship, Porto is pleasantly soft in the hand, even if the four-legged friend makes a set forward. At first glance and without knowing the unique manufacturing process of Olivleder®, Porto hardly attracts attention. On second glance, the love is all the bigger because the purely vegetable-tanned and handmade accessory is equally a “hidden jewell” and a pioneer on the way to a better world.
