rs ago the Wiarton Town Council of Wiarton Ontario Canada sent invitation letters to Chambers of Commerce in Germany As luck would have it a German entrepreneur by the name of Hans Heidolph Sr owned a company that sought to expand into North America Upon receipt of the letter he decided to include the town in his expedition to find a location on the North American continent In 1954 Hans Heidolpn Sr decided on Wiarton He purchased property and an old factory which he refurbished His initial intent was to continue the Heidolph motor-winding business in this new location and he named the company “Canadian Fractional Motors” Years later the name was shortened and Caframo Ltd came into being Today Caframo is a privately-owned Canadian manufacturer founded on the sunny shores of Georgian Bay Ontario in the original location found by Hans Heidolph Sr In keeping with our history our company is committed to quality and craftsmanship and is the industry leader in specialty fans heaters and thermoelectric fans and lighting Caframo is equally committed to community as it is to designing and building product Corporately the company supports community initiatives non-profit organizations and service clubs in Wiarton Georgian Bluffs Owen Sound and surrounding areas in Grey and Bruce Counties In addition to Caframo’s corporate giving since 2000 our employees have selected one local charity each year to support through fundraising efforts as a group
