Additionally, the use of a mount creates a distance between the subject and the glass plate. This protects the image, as it does not come into contact with the plate. Photolini offers mounts in black and white in standard dimensions. The mounts are 1.5 mm thick and have a white centre. The mounts are produced using acid-free, ageing-resistant card with non-fade cut edges. For safe transportation, the mounts are delivered film-wrapped.
