Djembe Drum of the brand CIFFRE – Design by Marco Bauer Import & Export GmbH What is a Djembe? The djembe is a goblet-shaped drum covered with goatskin. The djembe we know today originally comes from the Malinke and Bambara ethnic groups from West Africa, today’s regions of Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and the Ivory Coast. We imported the first djembes to Germany in 1975. Our djembes were well received from the beginning and step by step found more and more lovers in Germany and all over the world. This makes it all the more important for us to also promote the early motor and musical education of children. We are a proud supplier to many educational institutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
