In the past, dog training whistles were mainly used for hunting dogs – the trill served as a stop signal at which the dog lies down – the high frequency whistle as a come signal. This has been implemented by many dog owners in recent years. A whistle allows for easy contact with your dog even over long distances and in distracting environmental conditions (wind, leaf noise). The respective signal sounds loudly and clearly and is not, as often with verbal commands, effeceted by the dog handler’s emotional state (anger, fear, rage). The ACME dog whistles are made of plastic and are frequency standardized. Each whistle is provided with an embossed number, which stands for the model number. The whistle signals are always clear, even the trill cannot be overblown. The mouthpieces of these dog whistles are sufficiently long and provided with a small bead so that they can be held comfortably in the mouth.
