Description
• CAT6A Network Cable • Full Copper 32AWG Wires, 50μ Gold RJ-45 Contacts • Sleeve with outer diameter of only 3.8mm to improve airflow in cabinets • Kink protection grommets • For channel applications • Technical data meets international standards • Cable 100% tested • 5-year guarantee Cat 6a U/FTP slimline data centre Ethernet cables have a smaller diameter (3.8 vs. 5.9 mm) than standard CAT6A patch cable. The bending radius is lower than conventional patch cables. This leads to better airflow in the housing. Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards describe the use of patch cables between 22AWG and 26AWG, 32AWG patch cables can also be used. This leads to higher attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. ACT therefore recommends a lower permanent connection length than conventional 24AWG patch cables. Therefore, this higher cushioning can be adjusted. ACT advise a maximum bundle size of 24 cables in PoE applications. In this case, the temperature of the cables for PoE does not increase. The ANSI TSB-184-A standard limits the maximum temperature increase to less than 15 degrees Celsius above the ambient temperature for the middle cable in a bundle.
