Description

AEG Main Faucet Under Sink Replacement Filter — Easy, reliable and efficient home water solutions
How Activated Carbon Filtration Works
The AEG Main Faucet Under Sink Replacement Filter purifies water by flowing directly through an activated carbon bed inside the filter cartridge. This bed of activated carbon removes contaminants and impurities by using a process called chemical absorption. Harmful molecules such as chlorine and sediments in your water get trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon substrate. This allows the purified water to continuously flow around the carbon producing fresh, bottled water quality through your faucet.
Micron Rating Explained
A water filter’s micron rating is a way of indicating the ability of the filter to remove contaminants by the size of the particles. A filter that has a “10-micron” rating can capture particles that are as small as 10 microns. How small is 10 microns? Household dust is 40 microns, so imagine a particle 4 times smaller than dust.
This AEG replacement filter removes particles as small as 1 micron.
Bottled Water vs. Filtered Water
It costs roughly 50p for a 500ml bottle of water at a convenience store. Doctors recommend drinking 2 litres per day, costing you around £2. If you spread that across 6 months — the recommended lifespan of a single AEGFFF2 replacement filter — it costs you more than £350.
Not only is filtering your own water better for the environment by cutting plastic waste, but it’s also the more practical and cost-effective option over bottled water.
