Description
AEG Reverse Osmosis Under Sink Replacement Membrane — Easy, reliable and efficient home water solutions
What Is Reverse Osmosis?
The AEGMEM replacement membrane is the second step in the 3-stage reverse osmosis (RO) filtration process.
RO filtration works by using the water that comes directly from your main water line. The water then goes through a pre-filter. From there, water enters the membrane, like the AEGMEM, which uses pressure to further filter the water. Wastewater is then deposited from the system while the clean, RO filtered water travels to the storage tank. The clean water is then filtered through the post-filter before being dispensed out of the faucet.
What Does RO Filtration Reduce in My Water?
The reverse osmosis system reduces dissolved solids, lead, cysts, chlorine taste and odour and sediment. It also reduces many chemicals such as arsenic, fluoride, hexavalent chromium, nitrates, copper and sodium.
Micron Rating Explained
A water filter’s micron rating is a way of indicating the ability of the filter to remove contaminants by the size of the particles. A filter that has a “10-micron” rating can capture particles that are as small as 10 microns. How small is 10 microns? Household dust is 40 microns, so imagine a particle 4 times smaller than dust.
The AEG Reverse Osmosis membrane removes particles as small as 0,0001 microns.
