Each blanket is designed to mould around the individual and may not conform to traditional bed or duvet sizing. It’s important to note that the weighted blanket should be sized to fit the individual and not the bed.
Filled with quartz micro-spheres the blanket is eco-friendly, ventilated and perfectly designed to contour the body. The quartz beads eliminate the shifting noise experienced with other blankets – keeping you cool in summer and cozy in winter.
Studies report a strong preference for weighted blankets amongst people with chronic insomnia, children and adults with ADHD and individuals with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Scientists believe that the ‘steady sensory input and pressure can reduce the body’s physiological arousal level’ which inturn can lead to reduction in feelings of anxiety and tension.
We recommend sourcing a blanket that is typically more than 10% -25% of your body weight. Each blanket should be heavy enough to apply pressure across the body, but not so heavy that it restricts movement or becomes unmanageable.
