Description
Giulio Iacchetti has been working in the field of industrial design since 1992. He combines this work with lecturing and teaching duties in a number of universities and design schools. He has received many awards amongst which (with Matteo Ragni) the Compasso dOro (Golden Compass) in 2001 for the “Moscardino” multipurpose biodegradable fork, which today is part of the permanent exhibition of design at the MoMA in New York. In 2009 he received the Premio dei Premi (Prize of Prizes) from the President of the Italian Republic for the innovative “Design alla Coop project, which sought to apply design related themes to large chain stores. In May 2009 he opened the series of exhibitions dedicated to young designers at the Triennale design museum in Milan, with a personal display titled Giulio Iacchetti.
