y Defend Ant Killer Bait Stations is a powerful gel insecticide formulated to eliminate ants in and around the home. Its formula is specially designed so the worker ants carry the active ingredient back to the nest where it is distributed to other workers that eventually feed the queen and larvae. The bait spreads through the colony over several weeks and when the queen is eliminated the colony is no longer viable.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Always read the product label before use and take note of all the application instructions and usage regulations. After a thorough check to determine the level of infestation, place bait stations where ants have been detected. Before treatment, remove all natural sources of food from the infested area to increase the likelihood of worker ants ingesting the bait and taking it back to the colony. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or rain. Ready Steady Defend Ant Killer Bait Station contains a bitter tasting substance (Bitrex®) helping to protect children and animals. Open the trap: remove the end of the trap, along the indicated line, to create an opening for the ants. Activate the trap: compress the gel capsule from the back until all the gel has been deposited in the central compartment. Place the activated trap: in the infested areas within the home or the immediate area around the home.
Application rate: apply up to 2 bait stations per 5 m surface or per ant nest.
Frequency of application: after 7 days, inspect the bait stations and replace if all the bait has been consumed and the infestation persists.
Frequency of treatment: wait 3 months after the infestation ends before the product can be reapplied.
