Music via Bluetooth without compromise, the AK XB10 delivers a sound distinctively different from conventional Bluetooth products. The Astell&Kern AK XB10 makes it possible to receive 24-bit/48kHz high-quality data wirelessly using the latest Bluetooth codec of Qualcomm – aptX HD. The Bluetooth connection has a maximum range of 10m.
A DAC (digital-to-analogue convertor) converts digital data into analogue signals in a digital media player. The AK XB10 is equipped with a DAC for the best digital-to-analogue signal conversion that greatly improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and Total Harmonic Distortion. Unlike other typical analogue amplifiers, the AK XB10’s amplifier was designed to amplify weak signals and power difficult to drive high impedance headphones.
With a dual audio output, the Astell&Kern AK XB10 supports both 2.5mm ‘sub-mini’ balanced and 3.5mm unbalanced audio connectors. With a 2.5 balanced audio connector, enjoy a deeper level of sound – ground noise is reduced, and output increased. Astell&Kern has a range of headphones/earphones with a balanced 2.5 connector, including the Layla II, Angie II and Rosie.
Using your smartphone’s Bluetooth capabilities, the AK XB10 is compatible with all iOS and Android devices as well as any laptop/notebook that supports Bluetooth.
For the ultimate convenience, the AK XB10 supports voice calls. With an inbuilt microphone, receive calls even when using headphones/earphones without the feature. While connected to Bluetooth, simply press the button on the AK XB10 once to answer the call, or press and hold to reject.
Designed with Astell&Kern’s principal motif of light and shadow, the AK XB10 was shaped to mimic the appearance of scattering light from a star (Astell in Greek means star). Split into quadrants, the top surface allows effortless operation, with just a touch. Though the design may look simple, the AK XB10 was carefully produced with both design and usability in mind.

The AK XB10 is charged via Micro USB 5Pin (5V 2A) and a full charge takes approximately 2 hours. The 350mAh 3.7V lithium polymer rechargeable battery has a standby time of 300 hours and a playback time of around 5 hours of music and phone calls.
