The HotBox 120 is a compact, premium power-attenuator that enables you to drive your valve amp brutally hard into those sweet overload conditions to get that legendary output-valve crunch yet output just the perfect volume for recording, pub gigs, jamming or solo practice. Jam is the sweet spot for home use, lessons or social playing: The variable control can go from totally silent to fairly loud, however you need it, but because only a limited part of your power goes through this control it is extremely reliable and can take any amount of abuse. Studio is the sweet spot for recording and jamming: More guts to drive that microphone, but quiet enough that the engineer will love you. With it’s fixed reduction you can be sure to repeat the exact tone over and over again so you don’t need to get all your takes done in one session.
