Moroccan black soap or beldi soap is a highly alkaline ancestral soap, which appeared more than 3000 years ago, and is made from olive oil, macerated olives and eucalyptus, which has a gel/paste consistency. It is used to remove toxins from the body and prepare the skin for exfoliation. In Moroccan hammams, black soap is used to cleanse, moisturize and exfoliate dead skin. Since the black soap is organic and doesn’t contains chemical to make it bound forever, if you let your black soap jar in the shower or hot environement, it may become liquid. Don’t worry you can use it the way as any liquid body wash.
Directions of Use: Black soap is mainly used in hammams or baths, after 15 minutes in your hot shower apply the soap on a wet body and leave it on for 10 minutes then rinse with hot water. At this moment, you are ready to rub your body with the Kessa glove.
