Co Enzyme Q10, more commonly referred to as CoQ10, is found in almost every cell in the body. Co is an abbreviation of cofactor, meaning that it’s a cofactor which other enzymes require for their own function. CoQ10 can be found in the diet; common sources included meat and fish. However, dietary intake of CoQ10 is typically in low amounts. CoQ10 can also be synthesised in the liver from L-Tyrosine but, again, in typically low amounts.
