Description
Light pollution filters block certain wavelengths from urban lighting, such as the emission spectrum of sodium and mercury vapour lamps. In urban photography, the yellow-orange shade of the lamps is greatly reduced. In astrophotography, the contrast of the sky is increased by darkening the gradient of the sky bottom, bringing out the stars or the milk way.
