Established in 1945 in Bellignat, Ain by Albert Ecoiffier, Ecoiffier focuses on the manufacture of plastic toys when Jacques and Eliane, her children join him. After the company Smoby for 14 years, the family-run business was bought by Jacques Ecoiffier and his two daughters in 2008. They then reappoint it Ecoiffier Toys. Since then, the company continues to grow and is one of the latest French toy manufacturers to ensure its entire production regionally using local suppliers. Ecoiffier toys now employs almost 350 people directly and indirectly. Competiting with the omnipresence of Made In China products, the company proudly displays its “Origine France guaranteed” label and makes a difference thanks to its French craftsmanship, its choice of trendy colours and its commitment to quality manufacturing, a guarantee of safety. The plastic used is a food grade plastic, harmless to the smallest and easy to maintain. And in order to give our children a better world, respect for the environment is not forgotten: Ecoiffier toys adhere to the “Eco Packaging” and “Der Grüne Punkt” programmes, recycles waste and uses recycled cardboard packaging as well as natural inks.
