Grind adjustment – The aroma of coffee depends on the quality of the grind. – Generally, the faster the preparation method, the finer the grinding should be. – Thus, espresso requires a finer grind than filter coffee. – If you use very fine ground espresso coffee for filter coffee, you will get a bitter taste. – Conversely, if you use a coarser ground for espresso, you will get weak coffee. – After selecting the appropriate degree of grind for your coffee maker, you can increase the amount of coffee grounds to intensify the flavor without adding bitterness.
