The pheromone trap will attract the male Common Clothes Moth (Tineola bisselliella) only. Please do not purchase to control other moths as the pheromone has been specifically created for this species.

The moth traps can be placed directly onto hanging rails, nailed or under furniture.

Hows does the trap work?

A sex pheromone slowly leaks from the pad attracting the male Tineola bisselliella. The moth lands on the glue near to the pheromone and becomes trapped and quickly dies.

By attracting the male moth to the pads you break the lifecycle of the infestation and this helps control emerging infestations.

Will this control my infestation?

For small infestations the traps are an excellent way to stop the breeding cycle.

It is unlikely that full control will be gained from using just pheromone traps in medium and large infestations and we always recommend that using an insecticide to quicken the treatment process.

Do I have the correct species?

Tineola bisselliella are golden in colour and approximately 5mm in length.

Will this control other species of moth?

The pheromone has been known to catch Case-bearing Clothes moth (Tinea pellionella), however we are unable to guarantee their success due to mixed results within testing.
