“This was an enormous set-up and I chose the things I needed to make my picture. The objects were chosen to epitomise summer and to evoke lazy days doing nothing. It called for colour and shape and arranging with a flourish. I painted this lovely colourful picture with acrylics, watercolours & oils.” says artist, Val Johnson.
