“I used watercolour for this picture with texture by adding salt to the wet surface and pouring on a watery mask fluid in random patches. The fruit was painted in loosely, leaves surrounding the fruit so that when the making fluid was removed, it revealed the base colour leaving a gentle summer picture.” says artist, Val Johnson.
