Description
Beech is one of the best choices for a hedge. It grows very densely, especially if trimmed regularly. The leaves come out a vibrant bright green and turn a brilliant gold in the autumn. The bonus is that they turn brown but stay on the plants in the winter giving some screening and protection all year round. The plants we are offering are Grade A, field grown plants, 5-6ft tall now and are the perfect size for planting out for an instant hedge. You plant them as a double row, with the rows 45cm apart at the rate of 5 plants per metre – if you need more plants for a longer hedge just call us on 01420 768 242! You can also plant 3-4 per metre in a straight line. We would urge you to dip your bare root plants into Rootgrow before you plant them – it makes a dramatic difference to your hedge – after one year these plants will form a full hedge for you. Alternatively If you need help planning your hedge or planting scheme, or need a different quantity of plants, please call us on 01420 768 242 and we will be delighted to offer some friendly advice.
