The colour of the floor mats remains intact over time. Discoloration can occur for various reasons such as continuous use or exposure to sun or rain, so one should avoid these elements to maintain the condition of the mat.
The coconut fibres are attached to the base with glue, which is why not all fibres are equally tight and it is normal at the beginning for some fibres to come off.
Dry clean to clean. Brushing is required, water or washing machine use should be avoided.
Each doormat is made from the shell of about 25 coconuts. First, the shells are “seasoned” in the coastal lagoons where they are collected and then beaten by hand to extract the fibers. The FISURA floor mats are individually painted and dyed by hand with different stencils. Then a traditional sun drying method is used outdoors to fix the paint on the surface of the mat. Finally, the non-slip base is added, which keeps the doormat in place and reduces the risk of slipping.
