DP Golf offers two Stimpmeter models: the Classic and the Compact. The Classic is based on the original Stimpmeter design and requires a reasonably flat putting green area of around 1 foot by 10 feet. The Compact requires a flat area of just 1 foot by 5 feet so the Compact can be advantageous for such situations where a large flat area is unavailable. Both can be used to measure the green speed in exactly the same way however with the Compact the average measurement recorded is simply multiplied by a factor of two (2x).
