It is designed to slice through PVC, CPVC, PEX, PE, and poly plastic tubing up to a nominal outside diameter of 32 millimetres (41-millimeter maximum). The serrated stainless steel blade requires less force to make a cut and leaves a flush end. Rubberized handles enable confident cutting even in wet or dirty environments. A conveniently positioned release button allows for true one-handed operation of the ratcheting cutter, while a locking tab secures the blade in place.
