They are effective, very comfortable and are very low on the shins. They do not impede pedal movements at all. The new AeroMesh/VentMesh composite fabric has a thinner stretch and adapts to a studied balance between strength, flexibility, ventilation. The front is made of Kevlar to resist abrasion.
