Description

American and Fränkischer Lifestyle: the first “bumblebee” in jeans with brown eyes and accentuated IrisThe American pioneers, cowboys and gold diggers created in the sweat of their intention: all characterized the willingness to work extremely hard for the dream of happiness. Robust work wear was therefore very much in demand and the jeans with the distinctive rivets soon developed into a “racer”. As a tribute to the settlers and gold seekers of the West, the Hummel Manufacture presents the very first bumble bee figure wearing a jean – easy to recognise in the typical indigo blue and the distinctive quilted seams. Modeler Anette Barth created a friendly young “Blue Jeans Wanderer”, who is looking for luck in the new world with nothing but a cylinder on the head, a suitcase under the arm and his pocket watch. Even the little emigrant looks into the world with newly accented Iris: eyelashes, eyebrow, rainbow skin and pupil with light reflections – this time kept in a classic brown. We have closed the little bumble bee straight into our heart. Since 1935, the popular bumble bee figures are traditionally “Made in Germany” at the location in the Franconian Rödental by hand. The Hummel Manufacture is based on the original drawings of the Franciscan sister M.I. Bumble bee from the convent of Siesen. Maria Innocentia Bumble Bee was named Berta Bumble Bee and was born from the Bavarian massage. As the best of her vintage, she graduated from the State School of Applied Arts in Munich. Their drawings of children, which they depicted in everyday practices, in the game or in nature, are world famous. Only the Hummel Manufacture is authorised to use the drawings of the Franciscan Maria Innocentia Hummel as a template and suggestion for the design of the figures.
