Description
The Work at Height Regulations came into force in 2005. These regulations apply to work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. It states that ‘equipment for work at height is properly inspected and maintained’. The MEWP inspection tags are designed to help control frequent inspections, maintenance and identification of MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms). A daily pre-work inspection should be carried out and recorded on these tags. The AssetTag MAX holder should be permanently fixed to the equipment in a suitable safe place. Perform an inspection (a checklist is printed on the reverse) and record the result on the tag. In the event of the equipment failing the inspection, remove the insert and inform a supervisor. Inserts are designed for use with the AssetTag MAX holders, which clearly states ‘Do Not Use This Equipment’ when the tag is removed.
