Teach Me Time! features an interactive, talking time-teaching game designed to help school-aged children learn to tell time on both analog and digital clocks. The large, bright LCD display is capable of displaying the time in either format, or both at once.
First, ask your child to press the left toe button to display a random time on the analog portion of the display (digital time hidden). Next, press the right toe button to have Teach Me Time! speak the answer and display the correct time in digital format.
The game is designed to create a dialogue between you and your child about time, keeping you involved in the learning process. The Teach Me Time! game is fully adjustable – five difficulty levels allow you to restrict which times are displayed (for example, just ’round’ hours), so you can start simple and progress in difficulty as your son or daughter matures.
Full manual override provides complete control of the game by the parent, if desired, allowing any specific time to be hand-entered.
For older children that want to get up on their own, Teach Me Time! is a fully functional alarm clock with snooze, just like mum and dad’s! A fun ‘ding-a-ling’ bell sound takes the place of the more traditional ‘beep-beep-beep’, and when sounding, the left toe button snoozes for ten minutes and the right toe button silences the bell.
Teach Me Time! has been tested for lead paint content and has passed all related tests as defined by the ASTM F963-07 section 4.3.5.1 safety specification. Teach Me Time! is also CE-certified and comes with a CE-listed AC power adaptor.
Children love the shape! ‘Toe’ buttons are fun to press, and the clock features a large, friendly display with animal icons and a clear, friendly female voice. Parents appreciate the function and form. A concealed parental control panel provides access to clock options and instructions, and the interchangeable LCD bezels (blue, pink, and yellow) provide options for any room decor.
The nightlight timer is easily programmed to turn on and off at any time of day. Parents can also customise an “Ok to Wake!” time (when the glow colour turns from yellow to green), an optional function.
Teach Me Time! runs on AC power using the included adaptor. Time and alarm settings are retained automatically in the event of a power failure using two AAA batteries (not included).
Teach Me Time! includes three interchangeable coloured face plates (blue, pink, and yellow). Use the ‘Display’ button to show just the analog clock face, just the digital clock, or both at once (to help kids make the association). Volume and brightness settings, voice volume (low, medium, and high), and LCD backlight/nightlight brightness (low and high) are all adjustable.
