Buffing with s soft cloth should remove any residue. Cast Iron is susceptible to rust when exposed to moisture directly or in high humidity, in cases where the product may be exposed to moisture we recommend applying a suitable finish such as lacquer or varnish and oiling will also provide a level of protection. Light surface corrosion can easily be removed with a lightly oiled cloth, wire wool or a wire brush or if you like the more industrial aged look then no coating will be needed.
