Cast Iron is susceptible to rust when exposed to moisture directly or in high humidity, in cases where the product may be exposed to moisture we recommend applying a suitable finish such as lacquer or varnish and oiling will also provide a level of protection. Light surface corrosion can easily be removed with a lightly oiled cloth, wire wool or a wire brush or if you like the more industrial aged look then no coating will be needed. Packaging Oakcrafts are committed to removing plastics from all our packaging, this product is now supplied in branded 100% recyclable paper and cardboard inner packaging. Outer (delivery) packaging is supplied by store who as a responsible company ship products in either recyclable cardboard or recyclable plastics.
