It is 3mm thick, the material used, giving great shock absorption for your lenses against harsh weather and accidental bumps or scrapes. When you know you are going to be changing between lenses regularly, the cases can be conveniently attached to the outside of your camera case for easier access using the supplied hook. In order to maximise the options with regard to carrying your lenses in many and varied situations, the cases also have a secure belt loop.
