CLUB HISTORY: Real Sociedad is one of the oldest football clubs in Spain. In 1909, the Sociedad de Fútbol football club was founded, which months later would be called Real (Royal). The Guipuzcoan side played their first European Championship in the 1974-75 UEFA Cup. GREATEST SUCCESSES: It has lifted the Copa del Rey on 3 occasions and between 1980 and 2018 it held the record of 32 consecutive winning matchdays in the same season.
