Elomin contains many essential amino acids and minerals and is used to support muscle building and performance in sports horses. For foals and young horses, the uniform construction of bone scaffolding and muscles can be supported during the growth phase. Elomin boots can also be supported by feeding Elomin boots in convalescence. The whole body and especially the muscles are made of proteins. Proteins in turn are composed of amino acids. In some cases, the horse can produce it itself in the intestine. Partially these must be absorbed through the food. To build proteins, all (total approx. 20) amino acids in the body are sufficient. If a deficiency is present, protein synthesis is restricted and deficits occur, for example, in muscle building and power readiness. Elomin boots contain lysine HCL, DL-methionine, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, L-threonine, tryptophan. L-tryptophan, for example, is an essential amino acid. The effect of L-tryptophan is based on the fact that it is converted into serotonin in metabolism. It can easily exceed the blood-brain barrier as one of the few amino acids. The effect is described as mood brightening and calming. An undersupply of L-tryptophan leads to hyperstimulation, imbalance and lack of line readiness.
