Handmade combs made of acetate – we would like to introduce you to the manufacturing process of the elaborately crafted combs:
First step: strips are made from the raw product, cellulose acetate sheets.
Second step: these are cut to the individual comb lengths. In different steps, the edges are bevelled and the prongs are sharpened.
Third step: Now the individual prongs are processed to a smooth grinding in a wet process – according to the comb type – according to the comb type.
Fourth step: the combs get a final touch and are processed with wood chips for up to 5 days depending on the model. All edges are further sanded and the comb gets first shine.
Fifth step: in a final refinement process, each comb gets its typical, silky shiny look and a silver or gold stamp. Each comb goes through a manufacturing process of up to 10 days.
