Description
Amaretti cookies were created way back in the Eighteenth century to celebrate the visit of the beloved Cardinal of Milan to the town of Saronno. By slowly baking a blend of sugar, apricot kernels and egg whites they originated the renowned Amaretti biscuits – a round, crunchy bitter/sweet almond cookie decorated with sparkling white sugar.
