Description
Dog Ends are innovative shock absorbing, plastic mesh tail bandages that aid in the treatment of tail tip injuries in dogs. Dog Ends prevents continued impact injuries to the tail tip, which occur through wagging and knocks against the wound this also prevents repeated blood loss and pain for the patient, and reduces mess to clear up for dog owners! Application of the Dog Ends with the mesh overhanging the tail tip by 3cm (1 inch), will allow the mesh to flex and absorb force. Excellent first-aid device to cover, protect and promote natural wound healing. Mesh structure provides ventilation to minimise infection, unlike any other traditional padded bandages or syringe cases. Reduces healing time by preventing non-healing wounds. Bleeding most commonly stops in 1-2 days, full healing takes between 2 and 8 weeks depending on the severity of the injury. Light-weight structure is extremely well tolerated by patients and is highly durable, to allow energetic, happy dogs to be themselves! Always ensure that the tail is protected by using Dog Ends in conjunction with a correctly-sized Elizabethan collar, to prevent chewing or biting of the wound or bandage. Your Veterinary Surgeon can use Dog Ends with sterile primary dressings as well as protective layers of cohesive bandage. Antibiotics and painkilling drugs may be required – consult your veterinary surgeon. Dog Ends should be checked daily and replaced when they are dirty or damaged.
