The Lume Series from Carson incorporates the most state of the art engineering and technology in magnifier design. The lightweight, acrylic lenses in these hand-held magnifiers contain an aspheric design which means that when light rays pass through the lens, they meet at a single point which allows for crystal clear and distortion-free image quality. These magnifying glasses contain 3 ultra bright COB LED lights that are spread proportionally around the rim of the lens to provide wide and even lighting. The COB LED lights are powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included). The Lume Series magnifiers are available in two different magnifications: 2.5x Power (AS-90) or 2x power (AS-95). The smaller 2.5x power version (AS-90) has a stronger magnification but a smaller 3.5 inch lens diameter. The larger 2x power version (AS-95) provides a wider viewing area with a 4.0 inch lens diameter. Both versions contain a 7x power spot lens that is built into the handle of the magnifier. Both magnifiers contain a protective rim around the lens to help protect the lens from scratching and breaking.
