The extruded activated carbon cartridge adsorbs chlorine and bad taste from the water. The water crosses a microporous structure made from compact natural fibres of coconut, carbon, wood and peat shells. Anti-micropollutants: filter sediments, mud, sand, algae, hydrocarbons, metal oxide particles in suspension that can colour water. With the pressure, the water passes through a very thin membrane located on the peripheral of the activated carbon cartridge that retains particles of a size greater than 10 µJ. Anti-pesticide: the extruded active carbon cartridge reduces the presence of pesticides and herbicides that can contaminate surface water (by runaway) and groundwater (by infiltration) used for the production of drinking water.
