eaning instructions: 1. Always rinse the steamer inserts with clean, warm or hot water first. Rotate and turn the inserts so that the water rinses the inside and outside surfaces from all sides and at different angles. 2. Place the steamer on a cloth to dry to avoid rust. This is sufficient for short cleaning. Occasionally you should carry out a thorough cleaning as described below. 3. Soak the bamboo in hot water. The best way to do this is to place the bamboo cooker in a large pot of hot water and leave it to soak for 6-8 hours or overnight. Then take it out and let it air dry. If the bamboo steamer is stubbornly dirty or has a strong odour, we recommend cleaning it. Use a brush to remove dirt and scrub it off. Please do not use steel wool. Optionally, you can remove discolouration by using a black tea bag, which has been fully soaked, and brush the surface with it. The tannic acid it contains cleans the bamboo. If you have prepared fish or similar strong-smelling food, we recommend rubbing the bamboo steamer with a little lemon. For the care of the bamboo steamer itself, we recommend that you coat it with a little cooking oil after each washing so that it does not dry out. The best way to do this is to soak a piece of kitchen paper with a little oil and brush the steamer with it. Ideally, you should place cotton cloths on the grids when using the steamer to prevent the steamer from getting dirty in the first place and to absorb additional liquid. The dishes usually turn out even better this way.
